1. Government of Andhra Pradesh and Infosys
jointly started the Special Training Program for benefiting the
SC/ST/BC & Minority students.
2. Infosys is providing the course content, curriculum and
program management.
3. Institute for Electronic Governance (IEG) will be the program
anchor. IEG will manage the program and liaison with different
entities.
4. JNTU is providing the faculty.
5. First batch started today i.e.29/10/2007 in MLR Institute of
Technology, Dundigal, Hyderabad.
6. Twenty five batches to start in the coming months.
7. Dr. Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy is willing to provide as much
funds as needed to run the program. Dr. Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy
would like to see that SC/ST/BC & Minorities are well
represented in the IT sector.
8. For the first time in the HISTORY OF THE STATE AND THE
COUNTRY, we are starting a program for the SC/ST/BC & Minorities
in collaboration with a company like Infosys.
